Out of Hours School Care

St Thomas More School Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) caters to children in Reception through to year 6, and provides a range of accessible, engaging, and social activities for those who require care outside of school hours.

Our OSHC service believes that children have a right to play as well as learn and develop in a safe and nurturing environment; this is our primary consideration in the decision-making process. Our decisions are visible through educator actions, interactions, and the daily work with the children. We believe that children are active learners, and they can explore opportunities to implement this through the provision of a rich and engaging environment.

We acknowledge that parents and families are the children’s primary nurturers, and that respectful, collaborative relationships strengthen their capacity to grow into responsible adults. We believe it is essential that the intrinsic worth of all children and their families, their strengths and their right to equitable access and participation in the community is to be visible in all aspects of our service delivery.

We believe that children have the right to have their individual and cultural identity recognised and respected, at all times.

OSHC Service Times
  • Before School Care: 6.30am – 8.30am
  • After School Care: 3pm – 6.00pm
  • School Holiday Vacation Care: 6.30am – 6.00pm
  • Pupil Free Days: 6.30am – 6.00pm
Who can attend?

Any students of St Thomas More School, as well as students who attend Primary School in our community, aged 4 years 8 months to 13 years.

How do I make a booking for OSHC?

Bookings are essential for our OSHC and Vacation Care services. We recommend that you book early to avoid missing out. To initially access a place for your child, contact our OSHC Director, Cheryl Bielby on 0409 551 699 or 7285 1555.

Vacation Care

St Thomas More School also provides a fun and engaging Vacation Care program that runs throughout the school holidays. This service allows our families to continue their work commitments knowing their children are sage and having fun.

Places for Vacation Care fill up quickly, so once we release the next school holiday program, we encourage you to enrol and reserve a place for your child or children as soon as you can.

How do I enrol your child in OSHC?

STEP 1: Ensure you have the following documents ready to go to ensure quick enrolment:

  • CRN numbers for parent 1 and child
  • Bank account/card details
  • Child medical/health and dietary plans
  • Emergency contact details
  • Photo of child

STEP 2: Access the enrolment link(Google chrome works best on a computer or tablet).

STEP 3: Complete the checklist page 1

STEP 4: Complete all questions for your child and provide required documents

STEP 5: The CRN number to claim Childcare Subsidy must be provided by parent 1 (the primary carer) and linked to the child’s CRN

STEP 6: Do not refresh the page or come back to the enrolment later (complete in one sitting!)

STEP 7: Once enrolment is complete you will be taken to the Direct Debit page to provide your payment details for OSHC/ELC services

STEP 8: If you do not add your payment details these may be updated later in the Home App

STEP 9: Complete 1 enrolment per child (Use the same parent details and email address so that everything links)

STEP 10: Once enrolled await your welcome email to set up your Xplor Home account Download the Xplor Home App

STEP 11: Log into the Home App using the credentials you set

STEP 12: Your service is now live. You can now:

  • make bookings in advance
  • invite contacts
  • check your details
  • add payment details

NOTE: Your service may contact you through the Home App. Do not make bookings for earlier than your go live date- continue to book on the current software.

Xplore | Trouble shooting and FAQ guide

Do I have to provide my bank/card details?

The preferred payment method for OSHC/ELC services is now through the Debit Success gateway.

This automated payment method makes managing your payments easier and save the service time. You can update payment details through the Home App. There is also a ‘Pay Now’ option available for Ad hoc payments.

Why do I need to complete an Xplor enrolment form?

All Catholic Education services have transitioned to Xplor as their management system.

Legislation requires a new, up-to-date enrolment form with mandatory questions as per the national regulations – ACECQA requirements and recent documentation for childcare provisions. Click here to see the regulations.

I started enrolment and the page closed or wasn’t complete.

If you did not submit enrolment, you will need to start the enrolment again.

If you submitted with details incomplete, then contact your service to send a ‘re-enrolment’ email so you can pick up where you left off, and you don’t duplicate enrolment.

I have duplicate accounts for my child!

If you submitted enrolment and then start the process again, you will end up with duplicate enrolments, also if another parent enrols the child.

Please contact the St Thomas More School OSHC directly.

Multiple children are not linked to my one account.

If you do not supply the same email address or for each child you enrol, they will not be connected to your one account, so use the same email and phone number for each child or contact the service.

I did not receive a welcome email.

  • Check your junk folder
  • Doublecheck your email address provided is correct
  • Request your service to resend

I cannot log in the Home App.

Ensure you have actioned your welcome email and set up your account.

The welcome email expires in 7 days, so you may need to request your service to resend. If you forget your log in details, you can reset the password from the Home App.

I currently use Xplor for another service or I was previously enrolled at a service that used Xplor, and I cannot action my welcome email (error message)

This occurs if you supply a different email or phone number that was previously used, and the phone number is linked to the old email address.

If this is the case, Xplor will need to unlink your mobile number from the old email address.

You can add 61 to the start of your phone number but you’ll need to remember to use this to log in. Alternatively, you can email: ECECMS.Xplor@cesa.catholic.edu.au

I cannot see any CCS and fees accumulating in Xplor account.

Parents will not see a live accurate fee statement until about a week after the go live date.
