Our Story
At St Thomas More, we strive to work in partnership with families to support each child and develop their love of learning.
We aim to deliver excellence in education to the children of Adelaide’s northern suburbs.
Through our high quality education our reception to year 6 students are encouraged to foster their own integrity, faith, and character; and they are invited to develop their individual talents and unique gifts. In supporting the direction of Catholic Education South Australia, we promote a no-fail environment, where development, learning, and resilience are instilled in each of our students enabling them to find their own strengths and address their own areas of personal challenge.
Mercy Education Values
As a Mercy school, the Mercy Education Values of compassion, justice, respect, hospitality, service and courage are embedded into our curriculum, educating students with an understanding of the spiritual, intellectual, physical and social aspects of their lives.

Compassion
We encourage and practice compassion within our school and community by putting our Faith in Action with fundraising activities, and promoting inclusion and kindness throughout our school.
Justice

Respect
We show respect and recognise we must earn our communities respect through our words, actions, and attitudes.
Hospitality
We remove barriers that stop us from extending hospitality to ensure we are an inclusive and kind community.
Service
Service is using our talents and gifts to help others, thereby enriching our classrooms, our school, and our broader community.
Courage
Our school is a safe space where children can learn to show courage through attempting difficult tasks, changing behaviour, taking action against injustice, or tackling personal difficulty.
Our Patron: Saint Thomas More
One of the most respected figures in English history, Saint Thomas More was a statesman, scholar, and author. He was a man who spoke up for what he believed was right and just, and he had an unwavering devotion to his religion. Saint Thomas More was canonised by Pope Pius XI in 1935. In celebration of his feast day on 22 June each year, our school community comes together to reflect on his life and commitment.
Our school insignia
The St Thomas More school insignia is bound by a circle, symbolising God’s all-embracing love. The rays represent the Holy Spirit whose presence enables us to open our hands in friendship and in love to the families in our community, inviting them to follow the eternal road of growth and learning.
