Enrolment Information

Thank you for considering St Thomas More School for your child’s primary education.

Families seeking a Catholic, co-education primary school experience for their child are encouraged to submit an online enquiry, and/or complete our Enrolment Application Form.

Our main enrolment point is Reception, however St Thomas More School accepts enrolment enquiries for Reception to year 6 and welcomes such enquiries throughout the course of the school year.

Our Enrolment Process

1. Book a Personal Tour

We encourage you to book a personal tour of our school grounds. You can book a tour online here!

2. Submit your Application for Enrolment

Complete and submit an Application for Enrolment form to our Front Office or email to enrol@sttmore.catholic.edu.au. This form can also be obtained from the school’s Front Office, or is available on request.

3. Attend an Enrolment Discussion

Upon receipt of your Application for Enrolment, you will be invited to attend an Enrolment Discussion with our Principal and/or Head of School. Here you and your child will have an opportunity to meet our team, ask any questions you may have, and discuss the learning needs of your child.

4. Receive a Formal Offer of Enrolment

If there is a place for your child you will receive an ‘Acceptance of Offer’ form which you will be required to complete and sign. Once we receive this form back, your child’s place is guaranteed at St Thomas More School.

Enrolment Criteria

We believe in affordable, Catholic education for all.

While St Thomas More School is a Catholic school, accept children of all faiths, cultures, and beliefs, and decisions pertaining to enrolments are ultimately at the discretion of the Principal.

When determining the acceptance of enrolment applicants, we follow the below preferences:

  1. Siblings of children already attending St Thomas More School
  2. Children who are baptised into the Catholic faith
  3. Children of old scholars of St Thomas More School
  4. Families from surrounding area, seeking a Catholic education for their child.

Please note:

  • Ensure an Enrolment Application is completed for each child in your family, to ensure a position can be allocated for them.
  • We do not charge an enrolment fee for any applications.
  • We encourage you to enrol your child/ren as soon as possible to ensure a position will be available.

When will my child begin school?

All Catholic schools in Australia offer two intakes for Reception students during the school year, in Term 1 and Term 3.

Term 1 Reception Intake

This is available for children who turn 5 years of age on or before April 30. Children who begin at the start of the year will complete four terms of Reception before moving on to
year 1.

Term 3 or Mid-Year Reception Intake

This is available for children who turn 5 years of age before October 31. These children will complete 6 terms of Reception before moving on to year 1. Children who turn 5 years of age between 1 November and 31 December will commence Reception the following year.
