Family Involvement
Our commitment to connect family and school significantly contributes to each child’s learning.
Our school believes that family involvement plays an important role in building a strong sense of community and sense of belonging. Parents, grandparents, and caregivers can become involved with our school through becoming a Volunteer, joining our Parent’s & Friends Committee, or nominating for a School Board position.
Become a valuable Volunteer
We encourage parents, grandparents, and guardians to support our school in a variety of ways, such as listening to chidren read, canteen work, supporting children at Sports Carnivals, and on Excursions. To register your interest please complete our onlne form.
Volunteer Requirements
St Thomas More School is responsible in ensuring that all volunteers are properly trained and accredited, as the safety and wellbeing of our children is paramount.
Becoming a volunteer at St Thomas More School consist of the following steps:
- Complete the Mandatory Child Protection training “Responding to Abuse and Neglect”
- Obtain a WWCC (Working with Children Check), as required by Catholic Education and in accordance with the Child Protection Guidelines.
- Participate in our Induction Course
- RAN Training for Volunteers
