Throughout Semester 1, our year 5/6 classes engaged in a tournament that would build on their knowledge of literature, authors, illustrators, and the inner workings of the library. The students were split into two teams – the HARRY team (Miss Trimboli’s class) and the POTTER team (Ms Carritt’s team).

Each class group competed against each other, winning points for their respective teams. With buzzers, question sheets, hands-on activities, IT, art, library expectations, and more… each student worked at gaining as many points as they could to reach the ultimate goal of becoming the Wizards Cup Champions.

Well done to both classes on their Team Spirit!

Working as a team can have its challenges but the students immersed themselves on the journey with a positive mindset, fostering effective communication and respect. Congratulations to Harry Trimboli – Hufflepuff on your class win and Potter Carritt – Slytherin on your class win and by 15 points, the Wizards Cup Champions!

To celebrate the end of the semester both classes made their own sorting hat!
